provide them with a broad range of satisfying volunteer opportunities to choose from.
Legal Services
Legal Services of Southern Missouri provides legal assistance, counsel or representation
to eligible clients in most civil matters in accordance with their acceptance plan.

Tax Preparation Assistance
Each year, our certified volunteers provide Seniors with free assistance in completing
both federal and state tax forms, as well as MO-PTC claims. (MO-PTC is the rent/property
tax rebate program for Missouri residents who qualify.) Speedy E-filing is available from
our central tax site. Volunteer counselors for this program receive extensive,
IRS-certified training in January of each year. New volunteers are encouraged to become a
part of the team and experience its satisfying rewards.
